In an increasingly digitized world, the proliferation of technical tools and the growing reliance on collaborative instruments for our daily work has surged. This widespread adoption, however, has also brought forth a significant challenge: user frustration, disengagement, and an increasing sense of overwhelm, primarily stemming from technical glitches, complex interfaces, and the constant demands of digital interaction.
Recognizing this critical need and market gap, I led the foundational product strategy for 'GLITCH Happens', conceptualizing a novel solution from its inception.
Our vision was to transform the landscape of digital social interaction by creating a playful, stress-reducing, and inherently engaging platform designed to inspire out-of-the-box thinking and connect individuals facing similar digital frustrations
.This project represents a 'zero-to-one endeavor, moving from initial concept validation to defining a robust product strategy and foundational design.
Challenge & Objectives
Design a digital product that fundamentally redefines the idea of digital social interactions, moving beyond mere functionality to address the emotional and psychological toll of current digital tools. The objective was to create a solution that not only mitigates stress but actively promotes engagement, creativity, and a sense of community.

Strategic Approach & Operational Planning
Our strategic approach was rooted in lean development and an iterative user research methodology, ensuring product strategy was deeply integrated with foundational operational considerations such as low cost maintenance and ongoing product iterations from day one.
Lean Development:
- Journey Mapping: Developed detailed user journey maps to visualize the current stressful digital interaction experience, strategically identifying critical user experience gaps where 'GLITCH Happens' could deliver unique value.
- Value Proposition Definition: Articulated a clear value proposition focused on fostering authentic connections, building supportive communities, and creating a disruptive, expressive space where users could decompress from stressful digital experiences while keeping the product easy to maintain.
- Core Feature Prioritization: Facilitated brainstorming and voting sessions to identify and prioritize features that directly supported the strategic objective of engagement and stress reduction, ensuring alignment with user needs, technical feasibility, and budget.
Market Validation:
- Conducted user research with individuals experiencing stressful situations with technology to uncover pain points, unmet needs, and desires for more engaging digital interactions.
- Performed a comprehensive competitive analysis of existing platforms to identify strategic opportunities for building distinct community value and market differentiation.
- Analyzed emerging trends in social media, gamification, and the broader tech industry to strategically position 'GLITCH Happens' and identify optimal channels for early adoption such as Reddit, and Discord.
Market Release Strategy:
- Developed an initial market release strategy through Reddit and Discord channels, outlining core features to engage potential target segments and utilizing key messaging to resonate deeply and generate interest.
- The strategy also included a continuous feedback loop through ongoing user testing to identify niche user needs and ensure sustained value delivery to early adopters.
- Implemented a personalized onboarding experience tailored to specific user personas (e.g., developers, project managers, designers, or general tech enthusiasts).
Brand & Experience Design - Strategic Pillars:
- Defined the Brand's Tone of Voice as disruptive, bold, chaotic, and energetic, strategically chosen to resonate with the target audience and differentiate the product from formal, corporate tools. This was critical for operationalizing brand consistency across all touchpoints.
- Designed core interactive elements for the Minimum Viable Product, strategically focusing on features like the 'Social Media Swipe Interaction'.This crucial design choice was intended to keep users highly engaged, and notably, achieved a 90% retention rate during early testing, validating our core engagement hypothesis
Next Steps
We are currently awaiting the results of further user interviews to validate initial hypotheses and refine our MVP feature set. The initial product launch took place through targeted social media channels such as Reddit and Discord. This soft launch included the first set of core features, notably: feed, home, an interactive story submission form (to gather authentic user narratives), and a news section.
Upon completion of the current monitoring phase, we will leverage the collected data to continuously iterate on features and product development. Our focus will remain on rigorously measuring user engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction, with the ultimate goal of informing and implementing a sustainable monetization model.

While quantitative results are pending, the strategic intent behind "GLITCH Happens" is clear, aiming to:
